STS-87 Mission Specialists Winston Scott (red stripes) and Takao Doi, each suited in the Extravehicular Mobility Unit (EMU) suit, work to evaluate tools to be used for space station assembly tasks during this second EVA of STS-87. Scott works with a small Orbital Replacement Unit (ORU) cable caddy while standing on a starboard longeron sill foot restraint. Doi controls the ORU Transfer Device (OTD) crane while standing on a port longeron sill foot restraint. Scott uses ISS Pistol Grip Tool (PGT) to fasten bolts on the cable caddy (001-3). Doi with Earth background overlooking inland Niger river delta in Mali (004-6). Doi retracts the OTD crane with attached cable caddy (007-13). Scott watches cable caddy being maneuvered on the OTD crane (014-16, 020-23). Doi continues to maneuver the OTD crane (017-19, 024-34). Doi extends the OTD crane back towards Scott who reaches for the cable caddy (035-37). View STS087-341-004 was selected by PAO for release to the public.
