Airmen from the 127th Maintenance Group inspect the aircraft parking ramps and taxiways during the August Drill at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan. Foreign Object Debris, or FOD, consist of items that do not belong where aircraft exist which could pose a threat to aircraft maintenance. Routine inspection of surfaces, and of people and vehicles entering aircraft taxi and parking areas, is required to prevent FOD from posing a threat.
