U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Harold Everhart, commanding officer, Logistics Combat Element, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), observes the effects of an explosive charge during demolition training with Finnish soldiers from Nyland Brigade in Syndalen, Finland, Aug. 11, 2022. The range was part of a bi-lateral exercise between the Finnish military and 22nd MEU. The Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group and 22nd MEU, under the command and control of Task Force 61/2, is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
