One of the Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) used during the 25th Annual RoboSub competition July 31, 2022, at College Park, Maryland. RoboSub is an international robotics competition, where student teams design, build, test and operate their own robotic submarines— AUVs—in challenging underwater environments. A total of 39 teams, from 11 countries, comprising 790 students, 54 faculty/advisors, and 9 mentors participated in the design and build stages; of this 29 teams and 289 students and advisors attended the in-person Autonomy Challenge competition.
