Brig. Gen. John G. Caligari, commanding officer of Royal Australian Army's 3rd Brigade and commander of Combined Force Land Component Command (CFLCC), and Rear Adm. Carol M. Pottenger, commander of Expeditionary Strike Group 7 and deputy commander of Combined Force Maritime Component Command (DCFMCC), review the spread of forces within the exercise operational zone. Caligari and Pottenger are the senior leaders for exercise Talisman Saber 2007. The commanders launched from USS Essex (LHD 2) for an aerial view and then met with unit commanders on the ground as the combined U.S.-Australian forces work toward achieving exercise objectives.
