LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Brig. Gen. John Payne, Arkansas National Guard deputy adjutant general, and Rev. Dr. Naomi Rogers, Korean American Federation president, observe a moment on the grounds of the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History in Little Rock, while a prayer is read by Rev. Paul Kin at this morning’s Korea War Armistice Day ceremony and wreath laying. The keynote speaker was Floyd Brantley, a veteran of World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. The ceremony honored the 69th anniversary of the end of hostilities on the Korean peninsula once the armistice was signed on this day in 1953.
