U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Christian Harrison, a radio operator with Task Force Koa Moana 22, I Marine Expeditionary Force, untangles slash wire in order to establish a field expedient antenna which enables communication within the task force in the Republic of Palau, July 18, 2022. The radio operators were able to communicate between islands and in the jungle using high frequency data chat and field expedient antennas, enabling command and control across various islands. Exercises such as Task Force Koa Moana demonstrate U.S. commitment through routine operations that foster peace and security and develop relations with partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
