A new building takes shape as part of ongoing work on improvements for the Montebello Hospital in the KwaZulu-Natal region of South Africa May 25, 2022. The work is augmenting South African efforts to facilitate treatment of tuberculosis, or TB, and particularly patients with drug-resistant TB and is being delivered through a collaboration between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Embassy in South Africa and local South African partners and funded by the U.S. Africa Command’s Humanitarian Assistance program.
