Maj. Gen. Mark T. Simerly, CASCOM and Fort Lee commanding general, discusses issues of security and noise with Lashawn Morris, a medical support assistant with the Department of Veterans Affairs and spouse of Army Staff Sgt. Marcus Morris, a small arms instructor at the Ordnance School. The conversation took place during Fort Lee’s third Walking Town Hall in the Jackson Circle neighborhood. The event was focused on resident satisfaction with housing conditions and ways to further enhance quality of life for service members and their families. The Army’s goal is for every installation to offer Soldiers and families a high quality of life with appropriate services, programs and facilities in which to live, work and train.
