Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Lt. Col. Akikazu Shibasaki, Maj. Shuji Iwasaki, Col. Yoshiaki Himeda, and Capt. Tsutomu Gompei from the JGSDF Intelligence School and Ground Component Command are briefed on communication capabilities of 3rd Radio Battalion, III Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group during a visit to Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, June 24, 2022. The purpose of this visit was to strengthen ties with Japan as well as showcase III MIG’s abilities. III MIG functions as the vanguard of III MEF, operating in the Indo-Pacific regions information environment, and supports Marine Air Ground Task Force operations with communications, intelligence, and supporting arms liaison capabilities.
