Soldiers with the Arizona Army National Guard Medical Detachment carry actors portraying patients from the 9th floor of the Phoenix Children’s Hospital down to a joint staffed medical tent with both Guardsmen and civilian medical professionals June 29. The joint military and civilian mass-casualty exercise fulfilled the Medical Detachment’s training requirement to provide 24-hour field care as well as built relationships with partner civilian agencies in the Phoenix metro area.
