PACIFIC OCEAN (June 23, 2022) Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), front, and Royal Australian Navy auxiliary oiler replenishment ship HMAS Supply (A 195) sail in formation with Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group (ABECSG), Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and the Royal Australian Navy. ABECSG is underway conducting routine operations in the U.S. 3rd Fleet. An integral part of U.S. Pacific Fleet, U.S. 3rd Fleet leads naval forces in the Indo-Pacific and provides the realistic, relevant training necessary to flawlessly execute our Navy’s role across the full spectrum of military operations—from combat operations to humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.
