220617-N-LI114-1030 YIGO, Guam (June 17, 2022) Aircrew Survival Equipmentman 2nd Class Erick R. Warren, from Bessemer, Alabama, assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit Five, attached to Commander, Task Force 70, deployed aboard the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), conducts a parachute inspection before parachute insertion operations during Exercise Valiant Shield 2022 (VS22). VS22 is a U.S.-only, biennial field training exercise (FTX) focused on integration of joint training in a multi-domain environment. This training builds real-world proficiency in sustaining world forces through detecting, locating, tracking and engaging units at sea, in the air, on land and in cyberspace in response to a range of mission areas.
