Mckinley Patterson IV, a nodal network systems operator-maintainer assigned to the 11th Corps Signal Brigade, stays on guard for enemies during the III Armored Corps Best Squad Competition 2022, on Fort Hood, Texas, June 23, 2022. While other soldiers find the next location to move to on the map, Mickinley keeps his weapon pointed and ready, simulating a combat environment. The III Armored Corps pulled only the best from across its divisions and separate brigades to compete in this year’s inaugural competition.
