On June 17, 2022, of the "Women’s, Peace and Security in Peacekeeping Seminar" developed and delivered by USINDOPACOM's Office of Women, Peace and Security, the United Nations Undersecretary General for Peace Operations, Jean-Pierre Lacroix, addressed the Mongolian Armed Forces Peacekeepers as they prepare for their next mission.
Undersecretary General Lacroix highlighted the importance of the partnership and the significance of increasing the number of women peacekeepers, as well as promoting gender responsive peacekeeping to improve protection of civilians. He commended Mongolia’s commitment to peacekeeping as they celebrate their 20th anniversary in Peace Operations.
