U.S. Marines with VMFA-121 are conducting Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations from the amphibious assault carrier USS Tripoli (LHA 7) in support of exercise Valiant Shield 2022. Exercise Valiant Shield gives units like VMFA-121 the opportunity to integrate with forces across the Indo-Pacific to train in successful employment and operations that demonstrate the strength and versatility of the Joint Force.
