Service members take a photo with WWII veteran, Charles Shay, on Omaha Beach, Normandy, June 1, 2022. Shay was a 19-year-old medic when he stormed Omaha Beach on D-Day, June 6, 1944. Shay is now Ninety-eight years old and attended D-Day remembrance events and ceremonies in Normandy. While in Normandy, he spoke with service members about his experiences on that day.
