Japanese Maj. Gen. Shingo Nashinoki, Commander of Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, presented five U.S. Marine officers of the 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade with Certificates of Appreciation aboard Camp Courtney, Okinawa, Japan, May 11, 2022 in honor of our close relationship and hard work during past events such as the annual exercises Yama Sakura which rehearses the defense of Japan. Col. Michael "Spud" Brennan, Operations Officer of the 3D MEB, also presented a small gift to the ARDB CG signifying our shared common purpose and commitment as we work together to provide security in the First Island Chain and maintain a #FreeandOpenIndoPacific!
