A U.S. Marine with Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), dons his Mission Oriented Protective Posture (MOPP) equipment during a leak, seal and pack training exercise at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Jun. 2, 2022. The training event was conducted to improve communication and mission effectiveness between units in preparation for potential real-world scenarios. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premiere crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
