A view from the east aircraft parking ramp at the Pennsylvania Air National Guard’s 171st Air Refueling Wing as Airmen walk the nearly two mile length of Pittsburgh International Airport’s runway 10 right-28 left in search of foreign objects and debris May 23, 2022. Runway 10 right-28 left has been closed since January 2022 for repairs. Prior to opening the runway, it needs to be clear of small rocks and other debris for safety. The runways close proximity to the 171st allows the units KC-135 Aircraft to takeoff without delay caused by taxiing. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Senior Master Sgt. Shawn Monk)
