The New Hampshire National Guard dedicated its new Heritage Room at the state military reservation May 20, 2022, in memory of New Hampshire Medal Of Honor recipient, Capt. Harl Pease Jr., a pilot who was killed during World War II. Distinguished guests attended a small ribbon-cutting ceremony, attended by Pease family members and 14 retired New Hampshire National Guard general officers. Pease's relatives in attendance were acknowledged for a collection of military artifacts donated for permanent display. Items included Pease's painted portrait, an encased American flag, medals and ribbons (pictured), and a flight bag inscribed with his handwritten name and initials.
