U.S. Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 24, 2d Marine Logistics Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force and U.S. Navy sailors with Beach Master Unit 2, U.S. 2nd Fleet, Fleet Forces Command participate in a Landing Craft Utility (LCU) loading and unloading exercise (LOADEX) at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, Virginia, May 19, 2022. LOADEX allows new heavy equipment operators to apply classroom instruction to a real-world training environment. The overarching strategy of LOADEX is to reinforce naval integration between the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Navy while incorporating new risk management methodologies into amphibious logistical operations.
