1st platoon, alpha battery, 5-4 Air Defense Artillery Battalion, participated
in Operation Rising Griffin with the Czech Republic Air Defense Battery in
late March 2022. Both nations received a capabilities and limitations brief of
both units respective Air Defense assets. 1st Plt. soldiers were able to
practice UAS tracking with the Czech Republic RBS-70. Czech Republic soldiers
received a walk around of the Avenger weapon system and a demonstration of the
Stinger Missile.
