Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Fernando Hinostroza talks to Vice Adm. Gerald Beaman, commander of U.S. 3rd Fleet, on the mess decks of the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) during San Francisco Fleet Week. San Francisco Fleet Week is scheduled from Oct. 3-8 and brings more than 2,500 sailors, Marines and Coast Gaurdsmen from four ships to the city of San Francisco in order to highlight the personnel, technology and capabilities of the sea services.
