Recruits with Alpha Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, complete the Crucible aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., May 6, 2022.
The Crucible serves as the final culminating event, consisting of body sparring, pugil sticks, movement courses, and patrolling exercises. After the completion of the Crucible, recruits are presented their Eagle, Globe and Anchor, and have earned the title, United States Marine.
