CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti (May 7, 2022)
Col. Kazuhiro Kuwahara, commander of the Japanese base in Djibouti, Otsuka Umio, Japan's Ambassador to Djibouti, Sgt. 1st Class Hayashi Katsunari, a trumpet player and singer with the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) Central Band, and U.S. Army Maj. Gen. William Zana, commander, Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), play "Ue o Muite Arukō" with the JGSDF Central Band during an encore performance at Coalition Band Night at 11 Degrees North on Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti (CLDJ). JGSDF Central Band made its first tour to Djibouti in honor of the 10th anniversary of the opening of The Japan Self-Defense Force Base Djibouti.
