SILVERDALE, Wash. (May 2, 2022) – Rich White, Trident Refit Facility, Bangor’s (TRFB) Occupational Safety and Health Office Director, presents Arnie Lusis, TRFB’s Problem Resolution Chair, with an incentive award for his work helping the command reduce workplace injuries. In November, Lusis spent countless hours identifying why injuries were becoming more frequent. Then, with assistance from other stakeholders, Lusis implemented a plan of action and milestones which has reversed that trend and provided a safer workplace for TRFB’s almost 2,000-member workforce. This reversed trend has kept more employees on the job carrying out the mission of ensuring that our nation’s strategic deterrent is in place, which is vitally important especially in the current environment of increased hostilities and great power competition.
