Moore after presenting him the Ohio Military Hall of Fame for Valor medal during the OMHOF Class of 2022 induction ceremony April 22, 2022, at the Ohio Statehouse Atrium in Columbus, Ohio. Moore was awarded the Bronze Star with Valor device while serving as a medic in Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment, 199th Infantry Brigade, during a combat patrol in Vietnam in January 1969. The OMHOF recognizes Ohio veterans who were awarded medals for valor during their military service.
