U.S. Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), unload and secure cargo during a Helicopter Support Team (HST) exercise at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, April 21, 2022. HST training increases the Marines proficiency in the loading of gear and supplies with military helicopters allowing for quicker and more efficient insert and extract of heavy cargo. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
