INDIAN OCEAN (May 2, 2022) Damage Controlman 3rd Class Tyler Schwinghammer, from Otsego, Minn., directs hose teams to combat a simulated fire on the flight deck aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Gridley (DDG 101) during an aviation firefighting drill. Gridley is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability through alliances and partnerships while serving as a ready-response force in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
