NORFOLK (April 19, 2022) – Fireman Engin Molloy-Gray runs the forward collection holding and transfer (CHT) pump aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) during a sounding security roving watch, April 19, 2022. The CHT pumps must be run periodically to reduce the risk of creating hydrogen sulfide, which is a highly poisonous and flammable gas.
