The USACE team welcomed Representative Chris Jacobs of New York's 27th District for a visit at the Mount Morris Dam and Recreation Area this week. We gave Rep. Jacobs a personal view of the vital role the dam plays in keeping surrounding communities safe.
The dam, which is situated deep in the Genesee River Gorge at the northern end of Letchworth State Park, provides flood protection to downstream areas including the city of Rochester, and offers a variety of recreational opportunities to visitors.
