    U.S. Army National Guard Soldiers and UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters with the South Carolina National Guard assigned to Company A, 1-111th General Support Aviation Battalion (GSAB), 59th Aviation Troop Command, depart for the mobilization station at Fort Hood, Texas from McEntire Joint National Guard Base, South Carolina, April 22, 2022, in preparation for a deployment in support of the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) peacekeeping mission. The South Carolina National Guard conducted a deployment ceremony, April 20, recognizing the deployment of approximately 50 Soldiers and eight UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters from the 1-111th GSAB to the Sinai Peninsula, in support of the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) peacekeeping mission. The MFO’s overarching mission is to supervise and monitor the implementation of the security provisions of the Egyptian-Israeli Treaty of Peace, as well as contribute to preventing any violations of the treaty.
