U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Marc Miller, left, from Nottingham, Pennsylvania and Sgt. Dayveon Burns from McDonough, Georgia, both intelligence specialist with 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, communicate with one another to keep protesters from entering the landing zone during a Non-combatant Evacuation Operation (NEO) exercise as part of Assault Support Tactics 3 (AST-3), Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) course 2-22, at Twentynine Palms, California, April 15, 2022. AST-3 is a multi-mission evolution consisting of a NEO as well as Foreign Humanitarian Assistance (FHA) operations.
