NASA Langley Arc-Heated Scramjet Test Facility: Scramjet Mock-Up in Mach 7 Scramjet Test Facility This photograph shows a mock-up of a scramjet engine in the test section of the Mach 7 Scramjet Test Facility. Jim Mueller (retired) designed this mock-up to study the positioning of the actual test engine (the Three-Strut Scramjet) in the test section; routing of fuel lines (see the three copper tubes); fitting, alignment, and calibration of the thrust balance, testing the model injection system; etc.
