220408-N-NO901-1002 EGILSSTADIR AIRPORT, Iceland (April 8, 2022) Engineering Aide 3rd Class Britton Helms, right, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 133, and Lance Corporal James Woods, assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 271, collect and analyze an airfield’s Global Navigation Satellite System data in support of 22nd Naval Construction Regiment as part of exercise Northern Viking 22, April 8, 2022. Northern Viking 22 strengthens interoperability and force readiness between the U.S., Iceland and Allied nations, enabling multi-domain command and control of joint and coalition forces in the defense of Iceland and Sea Lines of Communication in the Greenland, Iceland, United Kingdom (GIUK) gap.
