Alexander Sanchez, assigned to the New York Army National Guard’s 222nd Military Police Company, completes the 12-mile ruck march with a 50-pound rucksack, the final event of the New York National Guard Best Warrior Competition at the Camp Smith Training Site, Apr. 8, 2022. The three-day event resulted in the selection of Sanchez as the best NCO after an evaluation of Army knowledge, physical fitness, weapons qualification, land navigation and tactical prowess, including the 12-mile road march.
