U.S. Army Spc. Connie Ribu, an Apache helicopter repairer, assigned to Delta Company, 1-3rd Attack Battalion, 12th Combat Aviation Brigade, applies safeties onto the engine bolts of an AH-64D Apache Longbow helicopter at Lielvarde Air Base, Latvia on April 9, 2022. Safeties are applied to the engine bolts to keep them from coming loose during the vibrations from the Apache. 12 CAB is among other units assigned to V Corps, America's Forward Deployed Corps in Europe that works alongside NATO Allies and regional security partners to provide combat-ready forces, execute joint and multinational training exercises, and retains command and control for all rotational and assigned units in the European Theater.
