Najah, a health worker in Yemen, is one of 88 mediators in Yemen who have been trained by USAID's Systems, Health and Resiliency Project to resolve community conflicts related to accessing health services. Using the mediation skills and strategies she learned, Najah resolved a land dispute around constructing a health center in her village of Al-Kadara in the Ta’izz Governorate, where health care access is a challenge because the nearest health facility is so far away. Thanks to Najah, the villagers of Al-Kadara will have better access to health services right in their own community once the new facility is built.
