U.S. Marines with Battalion Landing Team 1/5, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, conduct long-range live-fire training at Combined Arms Training Center Camp Fuji, Japan, March 17, 2022. The scout snipers practiced alongside Japanese soldiers with the 1st Amphibious Rapid Deployment Regiment to share knowledge and maintain their lethality by practicing shooting from different platforms. Maritime Defense Exercise Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade is a bilateral exercise meant to increase interoperability and strengthen ties between U.S. and Japanese forces for the defense of Japan.
