Task Force 61/2 on the Hershel "Woody" Williams (ESB 4)

ATLANTIC OCEAN (March 8, 2022) U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Cean Tukes, assigned to Task Force 61/2, from San Pedro, Calif., visually clears space before firing down range during a small-arms training evolution aboard the Expeditionary Sea Base USS Hershel “Woody” Williams (ESB 4), March 8, 2022. Task Force 61/2 is a rapidly deployable and scalable coordination cell that will temporarily provide command and control support to Vice Admiral Gene Black, commander, U.S. Sixth Fleet, as part of ongoing experimentation efforts. The Task Force will synchronize Navy and Marine Corps units and capabilities already in theater, in support of regional Allies and Partners and U.S. national security interests.
