Maj. Gen. Jeffery Broadwater, deputy commanding general, V Corps, received a 1-3rd Attack Battalion belt buckle from Lt. Col. David Roman, commander, 1-3rd Attack Battalion, during a visit to Lielvārde Air Base, March 10, 2022. Broadwater met with the unit and recognized the work the battalion has accomplished during exercise Saber Strike 22 and Crystal Arrow. The 1-3rd Attack Battalion arrived in Latvia from Germany for exercise Saber Strike to reassure our NATO allies, deter any potential aggression against NATO member states, and train with host-nation forces.
