David Roman, commander, 1-3rd Attack Battalion and his wife on the phone prior to presenting him with a coin during a visit to Lielvārde Air Base, March 10, 2022. Broadwater met with the Soldiers of the 1-3rd Attack Battalion and recognized four members of the unit for their performance. 1-3rd Attack Battalion arrived in Latvia from Germany for exercise Saber Strike to reassure our NATO allies, deter any potential aggression against NATO member states, and train with host-nation forces.
