JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (March 1, 2022) - Lt.j.g. Rose Johnson, a certified nurse at Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s Maternal Infant Unit, checks in on a nursing mom. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baylor University. A native of Corpus Christi, Texas, she says, “I'm an immense believer in patient advocacy and supporting my colleagues consistently. Being a certified medical-surgical nurse has aided me in contributing to the Navy's mission on a day-to-day basis as I strive to be a more valuable resource to others.” Certified Nurses Day is March 19, honoring nurses who contribute to patient outcomes through national board certification in their specialty.
