U.S. Navy Petty Officer First Class Sam Brettell, electronics technician (left) and U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Steven Santoyo, a bulk fuel specialist, roll up a base tarp at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, Mar. 12, 2022. The Marines and Navy train together in order to practice the effectiveness of naval integration. This training employs and tests a new concept for expeditionary fueling dispensing systems in order to increase the Navy and Marine Corps' team agility, flexibility, effectiveness, and mission readiness with a focus on Expeditionary Advanced Bases of Operation (EABO). Marines from 6th ESB, alongside their Naval counterparts, have proven their ingenuity by creating a smaller and more agile fueling capability from a much larger legacy fueling system. Their innovative efforts consist of swiftly staging low profile fueling points with a diminished signature in order to allow forces the flexibility to flow quickly in and out of enemy engagement zones.(U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
