U.S. Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), train with Japanese soldiers with the 1st Amphibious Rapid Deployment Regiment (1ARDR), Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force, in a Japanese MV-22 osprey for a staff exercise for Maritime Defense Exercise Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade (MDX-ARDB) on Camp Fuji, Gotemba, Japan, Mar. 11, 2022. Leaders with the 31st MEU came together with the 1ARDR to review, plan, and cogitate MDX-ARDB.
