In honor of International Women's day, Italian Navy Contrammiraglio Valentino Rinaldi and U.S. Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Anthony Henderson, commanding general, 2d Marine Expeditionary Brigade, handed out roses to award six women who stood out as top performers during Exercise Cold Response 2022 on March 8, 2022 in Narvik, Norway. Our greatest strategic advantage is a network of Allies and partners, strengthening our collective strategic deterrence. Exercise Cold Response '22 is a biennial Norwegian national readiness and defense exercise that takes place across Norway, with participation from each of its military services, as well as from 26 additional North Atlantic Treaty Organization allied nations and regional partners.
