Staff Sgt. Spencer Grayson, a member of Headquarters Company, 700th Support Battalion, 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Oklahoma Army National Guard, received the Army Commendation Medal after winning the non-commissioned officer category of the Best Warrior Competition at Camp Gruber Training Center, Oklahoma, March 6, 2022.The Best Warrior Competition is a three-day annual event that brings together top-tier Soldiers to test their proficiency in a variety of warrior tasks and drills. The competitors endure tests in land navigation, marksmanship and weapons skills, an assault course, a written essay and an appearance before a board of sergeants major, all culminating in a 12-mile ruck march.
