Fort McCoy’s economic impact approached nearly $2 billion during fiscal year 2021

(From left) Fort McCoy Resource Management Officer Maureen Richardson, Garrison Commander Col. Michael Poss, Deputy to the Garrison Commander Brad Stewart, Vernon County Highway Commissioner Phil Hewitt, Vernon County Administrator Cari Reddington, Fort McCoy Staff Judge Advocate Lt. Col. Savas Kyriakidis, and Directorate of Public Works Operations and Maintenance Division Chief Nathan Sobojinski were all on hand for the signing of an intergovernmental service agreement (IGSA) between the post and Vernon County on March 15, 2021, at Fort McCoy, Wis. The agreement involves line striping on roadways at Fort McCoy and is estimated to save the installation more than $166,000 over the next 10 years. It is the second IGSA the post has made in the last two years. (U.S. Army Photo by Scott T. Sturkol, Public Affairs Office, Fort McCoy, Wis.)
