"Before my husband's deployment I was very anxious and nervous of being alone with my daughter without any help. It was our first deployment together while married and we had just PCS to Fort Stewart, I was a full-time college student, a first-time stay at home mom, I recently had just separated from the Army a year prior and we were still newlyweds. My husband deploying was another drastic change to our forever changing lifestyle but we CONQUERED IT!! During his deployment I was introduced to the Brigade FRG Leader, Mrs. Dana Key. After I was introduced to her my deployment process had gotten 1000 times easier. Dana assured me that I was not alone in the deployment process. She was there every step of the way and helped out in any way she could. The FRG is a lifesaver during deployments because they are in the struggle with you and know exactly how you feel. Due to the help of Mrs. Dana Key, I honestly feel I can do another deployment whenever my husband is called to serve somewhere else in the world. The FRG prepared a reintegration class for military spouses so we could reunite with our soldiers before they return home. The planned reintegration class made the process a little less painful so we could enjoy the time with our soldiers and become acclimated with them again. The Family Readiness Group is there to help!"
